forest Profile

My name is Bryan Eveleigh and I live in the city of Bristol, in the West Country of England. All my photography takes place in Britain and I enjoy the challenge to get the best out of the image working with digital.

I first became interested in photography in 1980 when I joined a weekly evening class on SLR Photography organised by a local photographer. On completion of the course I purchased my first Nikon SLR camera and joined Portishead Camera Club.

In the mid 1980’s I built and equipped my own darkroom and started printing both my own monochrome and colour prints. In 1998 I gained my first award for photographic merit, the CPAGB, Credit of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

Around 1995/96 I purchased my first Nikon digital camera, a D70, and started to produce digital images, what an exciting period this was! In 1999 I was awarded my second distinction, a DPAGB, Distinction of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

In June 2012 I gained my third distinction, a AFIAP, Artiste Federation Internationale Del’Art Photographique
